Easter Sunday
Today is Easter Sunday and “get ready to go” in the morning. We finished several projects...got the dinghy back aboard and covered, got everything covered back up on the boat deck. All secure topside. David organized the lazarette, the commissary, and the pilot house. We have our route planned with all the waypoints, got our marina reservation for tomorrow night and put the interior into traveling mode. We had a modified Easter Dinner, ham, Potatoes Trude and rolls. I missed having Grandma’s Easter salad (cranberries, grapes, sugar and whipping cream, no calories there). It’s one of my favorite dishes. We dropped off the car keys to our friends Lowie and Dave, they loaned us their car while we were here, super nice people. Then we went next door with Ellie to say goodbye to Rich and Theresa, and Trapper, Ellie’s bestest friend here on the dock. Back aboard Painkiller, we did the dishes, filled the water tank and stowed the last few items so when we get up in the morning at 5am, we will be mostly ready to go. Coffee first, then engine room check, final walk around and then we’ll be off at sunrise. Here’s hoping for light wind and smooth seas!! Happy Easter to everyone, family, friends and all you “ anonymous “ readers. Thanks for staying tuned, leave me a comment if you can, it’s nice to know who is interested and following along❤️❤️
