Heavenly!
Here we are, forty years later. It’s my turn to be on watch while David fixes his lunch and Ellie’s puppy dinner (her crunches, green beans and her Altura Wellness Pet 250 CBD, yes a shameless plug for my son’s CBD company, Google it and try it). We are re-enacting our cruise with Bob and Virginia from forty years ago when we went to Mexico on the Passing Fancy with them, actually 43 years ago. We have the Mariachi music on and watching for dolphin, flying buoys and crab pots. We went to bed late last night, 11:30 instead of 9pm so we slept in until 5:30 am. We departed our slip at 7:15 as the sun rose and started the first day of the rest of our boating adventures. We weaved in and out between the day beacons and left the river and entered Tampa Bay and on out to the Atlantic. We had roughly, no pun intended, a 3’ swell, just a gentle hobby horse motion. We sat up on the flybridge for awhile, what a view, the color of the water, crab pots now everywhere, perfect temperature breeze, priceless. We landed at the Crows Nest Marina, Venice, Fl. We warned the dock aster this was a first for us, no really, we’re not kidding. You can see the spot they picked for us in the pic. I gotta tell ya’, David’s docking skills are excellent!! Then David fixed the A/C, phew, he had to fix a few things today. After installing a new chart plotter over the weekend, the electronics gave us fits on the first leg of our route. We (meaning Dave) tried numerous buttons, switches and wires and finally something seemed to get everything moving in the same direction. I think we’ll head to the little restaurant here at the marina for bouillabaisse for dinner tonight. A good day in Boatland!
