Fun Projects
There were some fun projects on the agenda today. First off, we still have the mouse aboard
. We made another run to the hardware store for more and different kinds of mousetraps. David dove into the lockers in the bow. He pulled out all the lines that we have aboard and laid them out onto the dock to see what kind of condition they are in and also check to see all the different lengths. The ones we kept were put back into the locker after thoroughly checking for any mouse activity, there was none there. Some of the lines that are older become inflexible and to fix that we soak them in a bucket with fabric softener overnight to revive them. We have a new neighbor, Nellie Crockett. She is a wooden boat, built in 1925 and looks like she should be in a museum but the family still uses her frequently and enjoys their time on her immensely. I decided to try and make a new cover for our bed. I got a lot of it done but not quite finished. We are still waiting for the estimate for the work we need done on the boat so we decided to go ahead and head north and we can figure out the scheduling over the phone. We did discover the engine mount bolts needed to be replaced, one was completely sheared off so we decided to replace all 8 of them. That should be done in the morning first thing and then we will head for Port Charles maybe. The weather was a little warmer today, we turned on the A/C. I am glad we got to do some fun stuff.
Aren't you glad your mom and your grandmother taught you to sew? I just set my machine up yesterday to sew a patch on one of Mike's work pants. The knowledge comes in so handy. Love the fabric you're using. Black and White is so in right now. I did my whole house in it with a little splash of red here and there. Enjoy tomorrow.
