Leaving Norfolk
We had a fun time in Norfolk. I had no idea I would be so interested in all things military. Now I would say that’s pretty cool to find a new interest at my age. We are officially in South Chesapeake Bay. I wish you could be here, it is truly heavenly right now, so tranquil, quiet serenity. Water is smooth with some gentle swell that gives a wonderful movement that just lulls you to sleep. Lots of blue water to gaze at. A nice breeze is blowing, the temperature is perfect. Vivaldi is playing on the stereo while the water laps at the hull, a sailboat goes quietly by. All senses are happy. It’s even lunchtime now and maybe I can sneak in a nap too. I actually got 2 naps today. We are in Deltaville VA, our slip is 90’ and our boat is 48’, it looks like a toy boat in the bathtub. The guys from the boat yard are coming down tomorrow to view our list of repairs, how long and how much. My guess is too long and too much, ha! I have to resort to cute pictures of Ellie today since it was uneventful and I don’t dare post one more ship pic (even though I have at least a dozen pics of ships as we left Norfolk). Thanks for stopping by, tomorrow should be more interesting ❤️ Today we went from Norfolk VA to Deltaville VA, 52 miles, 7.5 hours. Just FYI, the video below is 28 seconds long, don’t know if it is viewable. We were watching Resident Alien on syfy and this inappropriate audio came on. Turn the sound off if you have little ears around.🤪
Your "sunset" pix looks like another good candidate for framing. You ever get back into a house again you'll be able to cover your walls with memories. See ya tomorrow, can't wait.
