That’s a first on Painkiller!
The day started out nicely. We got underway, weather was pleasant, seas were pleasant.....right up until they weren’t pleasant at all. I headed for the couch with my Relief Band, my stomach calmed down, phew. I had a zoom doc appt scheduled and David got the iPad all set up for me. I sat up to do the call, lasted about 4-5 minutes, I ended the call and laid back down....quickly. But it was too late, David got “the red bucket” out for me. Leslie and Grant know exactly which bucket that is. It was ugly. We pulled into the marina, David had to dock the boat alone and it wasn’t an easy place to dock. This was about 12:30, it’s now 5:30 and I am just coming back to the land of the living. I’ve had some pretty funny names for our resident nightmare, Pixie and Dixie, Ben and I added Ratatouille. A few other random thoughts, they have free washer and dryer here and they look brand new! We are getting ALL of our laundry caught up including the rat cootie stuff, in Boatland that would be about 18 loads, in the marina’s new machine it will be 5 loads, yay!!! On some of the buoys we passed today there were Mommy birds and babies too, hope you can see them in the pics. And one final goodbye to the goose family, it seems all the babies were still there. Thanks for stopping by, today we went from Deltaville VA to Onancock MA, 4.5 hours, 32 miles, 1 barf fest.❤️
Motion sickness seems to run in the Turley/Zimmerman family. Me, both my kids, now both Troy's kids. Such a lovely thing to have. Can't tell you how many vacations I slept through because I was taking dramamine. Lowell and the kids had a great time, me, not so much. Took me years to realize I could cut the pills down to quarters and that was enough to stop the sickness but didn't knock me out. I'm sorry you suffer from it, can't be fun when you're living on a boat. Hope tomorrow is another day Scarlet. Pictures are, as usual, wonderful. Love the birds.
ReplyDeleteYour comments always brighten my day! Thank you for continuing to read and comment. I have to admit, the motion sickness, air, water, car and rollercoasters don’t enhance my life. I was so bloody sick, OMG. The only one worse was when we were taking a scuba diving trip, they put me in the dinghy and took me back to shore where I laid on the dock, in the sun, in my swimsuit and continued to frab for a couple of hours. Finally somebody put an umbrella over me to keep me from frying any worse. We were on a cruise, they came down and told me the ship was leaving, either we’ll bring a stretcher or I could try to walk. I walked, slowly, I figured I’d made a huge enough scene already. But that’s probably TMI, ha, love you!❤️
DeleteI have heard to always keep food in your tummy, hence all the food on a cruise ship! Keep those saltines and chicken noodle soup in a can handy! I hope you are better today since you are getting to the really cool NE!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
