BBQ in Nashville

David was up at 4:45 am, I finally got up at 5:30 and we hit the deck running.  We emptied the frig and pawned some fresh fruits off on the poor sailboat neighbor that had to listen to our air conditioning run while they sat out in the hot and humid sun.  Got ice chests packed, dirty clothes into a garbage bag (can’t wait to use Leslie’s washer dryer, they will seem huge...and fast!), we laid out all the boxes of stuff to be installed and fixed, got one last round of rat traps put out. Two dock carts later, we had the car loaded and the a/c on high.  At 9am it was already 83 & 47%, yuck!  Off we went, see ya in a month Deltaville.  We drove 11 hours today through 4 rain downpours, got to La Quinta (where Ellie can stay legally) and then had some really un-awesome BBQ. I didn’t know Nashville had any bad BBQ but it does and we found it.  We drove across Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and ended up here in Nashville Tennessee.  We will head to Oklahoma tomorrow, then Albuquerque to see Aunt Nancy on Thursday, then all the kids Friday, sooo soooo excited!

Turn the volume up, the rain was thunderous.

First rain storm.

Can you see the car in front of us? Neither could I.
