I think I have a stomach bug. I made the bed and went to lay back down on the sofa, where I stayed most of the day. David went to the hardware store, the one that has everything and if they don’t, you don’t need it, to get rat poison. It makes me super super super nervous. I don’t like the thought that there is poison hidden around the boat, concerned about Ellie and us too. We are being extremely careful with it, rubber gloves, hot glued it on the traps so it can’t be spread anywhere on the boat, putting buckets over the traps. We just can’t get it to do anything to our advantage. My gosh David and I have both gotten caught in the sticky traps, too many times to admit. I got to talk to both of my kids, my grandson, my Mother, Anne, and got new pics of my new grandson today. Baby is doing well, gaining weight and sleeping a couple of hours at a time, parents are running out of gas but after a week that is pretty normal. Our daughter is doing a newborn shoot of Harrison tomorrow, she is gathering her pillows, pretty throws and baby props. I can’t wait to see some of the pics she will take. She is such a talented photographer. You have to do a session like this before they are 10 days old otherwise you can’t pose them while they sleep. David cooked dinner, did dishes, now it’s time to set all the traps, then to bed. It should be good sleeping tonight as the wind is blowing pretty good, the boat will rock us to sleep.
Wrapping it up
Boss Bobby was absent again today. He volunteered to come install our hydraulic hoses tomorrow, Saturday, his day off. Management said no overtime, doggone again. David was out on the dock and Boss Bobby came up to him, put both his hands on David’s shoulders and said, “I may have good news for you!” Boss Bobby called management and explained without anybody else here to bug him, he could come and get the hoses “knocked out”. Music to my ears!! He said he’d be here around 9am, I said, “I’ll have lemon bars ready for you”. Don’t know if he can get all the hoses installed, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed! We both did more cleaning today. I got a razor blade and scraped off some dried varnish drips that a previous, sloppy painter had smeared all over the boat when he was applying varnish to the teak rails. I moved inside and scraped the edges and corners of the floors so get them really clean. I applied a cle...
You didn't mention if when you're heading to Phx. Hope you're feeling better. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe Rat Zapper has no need for poison. We only put dog food on it and it worked!
