4th of July

Today we slept in and then did our hobbies. David and Leslie got out the light stands, flashes and reflectors and took some more artistic photos with David’s new camera.  I got onto my computer and watched a “watercolor in scrapbooking”  class and Jake was buried in his computer game with friends. Naps were had by all, during soccer matches, golf tournaments or car racing.  We went to Grant’s house after dinner to set off fireworks.  For over an hour we lit off fireworks. Jake was the official lighter this year, he’ll be13 next month and did a great job.  Thank goodness all the neighbors brought their chairs out and watched with us, clapping at the really big ones.  Harrison watched with wide eyes at the sparkle ones and only minded the loud ones a little bit. What a mess we made in the street, we cleaned the big stuff up but it was too dark to do a detailed cleanup, Grant said he’d finish up in the morning. I think Jake and I had the most fun, I think we can now add fireworks to our other favorite thing….going for ice cream.
