A morning at LeeLees

Jake calls LeeLees the “stinky place”. And it is….but I love going there.  It’s a multi cultural grocery store.  They carry cooking staples for dishes made in just about any country you can think of. I wandered around looking at the hundreds of packages of noodles, of rice, of vinegars, of curry paste and whatever else you might need.  Then there is the meat section, the fish section, the live fish section (Grant and I were there once and some lady wanted a very specific fish out of the live tank, the poor employee finally caught the right one.  Then we heard this very loud THUNK,  we didn’t know they “prepared” it for the customer, it was a terrible noise, especially since we knew what had just happened, then we both giggled nervously) and the veggie section.  I’ve never perused the frozen section or the drinks aisle.  I’ll save that for another day.  I was looking for ingredients to make Pad Thai and fried rice at Grant’s house tomorrow.  His trip to Thailand, a long time ago, made a lasting impression on his cooking talents, man does he make great Thai food!  Can’t wait for tomorrow! One week from today we’ll be headed back to the boat! Looking forward to that too!  PS.  Grant said to choose the “blue one”.  Some very nice lady showed me where to find it in the store, she knew exactly where it was!
