Glad to be on the water again!!

We actually left this morning, 7:45.  Deltaville was a nice little marina, great staff, mechanics, they had an herb garden, 2 large vegetable gardens that were free to pick from (peppers, okra, kale, watermelon, cantaloupe, cabbage, a few tomato plants), the crab shack which was a screened in porch with bbq grills and picnic tables and chairs, the lounge had sofas, tv, tables chairs, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator and book exchange. In the office there was an ice cream machine, also had the free pile exchange and Amazon/snail mail delivery.  The laundry room was clean and had ac.  One washer had a broken money slot so it was the free machine, the other washer was $1.50. The dryers were $1 & $1.50, so reasonable we did most of our laundry up there because it was so much faster. The bathrooms were big, clean and had showers too.  The little restaurant was quite popular in the community. All in all, not a bad place to be stranded. But about today, we got out of our slip and the marina with no drama.  Remember, it’s been 3 months since we ran the boat but Captain Dave did great.  After a couple of hours the water got quite snotty, 2.5 to 3’ swell but very close together.  I was prone and Ellie was very unsettled.  She paced and paced. The stabilizers worked great though, yay!! Both the water and Ellie finally started to calm down and we enjoyed the rest of the trip. It felt like we were going so slow, 7.5-8 knots.  At one point, a seagull flew by, as in it passed us, ha. We saw some dolphins but I couldn’t get great video of them.  Oh, and we ran over our first crab pot, giant oops.  So glad it didn’t get tangled in the prop.  It was only in 30 feet of water so as long as the crabber knew the location he should be able to retrieve it.  We pulled into Spring Cove about 4-ish.  It too is a nice little marina, no floating docks but the tide is only about 12” so not really an issue. We got the boat secured and went up to the really big pool that had cool water and  had a Painkiller drink while dinner cooked in the oven.  A great day in Boatland! As a side note, Mommy Ashley was in the emergency room this morning but home this afternoon and doing ok thank goodness!  And Cousin Shawn, May you Rest In Peace.

The seagull that passed us.

The only dolphins video.

Proof of leaving Deltaville.

Full moon tonight in Maryland.

Leaving the dock👏👏👏

Tv on our new Garmin MFD.  We watched  Southpark for awhile too! And our new rear view camera.

We passed this restricted area.  This is an area that was used for bombing target practice, all kinds of nasty stuff below the surface.

This is one of my favorite views, looking aft with the flag out.

Pelicans are debating what to do.

The last one to fly away.

Abandon ship comrades.

Solved the RPM’s issue, easy fix, dirty fuel filter.

Huff, huff, let’s go already.

Another bombing target.
