Treading water, so to speak

Well , let’s see. Boss Bobby got pulled onto another project (one of the other bosses has a boat and her engine went south).  This is where I’m following my Mother’s advice….if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.  (SILENCE). He did come down to Painkiller at the end of the day to tell us we’re number 5 on the list tomorrow, it will probably be about 10:30. We’ll test the stabilizers at the dock and if it appears they are working we’ll take the boat out into the bay for a live test.  Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, we spent the day cleaning, organizing, pitching and stowing in hopes we get to actually run the boat tomorrow. We are still waiting on two parts to arrive but should be able to start cruising again after that. The weather doesn’t look stellar next week so we’ll make a few short runs and wait for decent weather before we wade into the Atlantic.  Right now the seas are about 5’. Even Dramamine wouldn’t help me enough for that.  Since buying the boat and moving aboard in January, we’ve spent about 2/3 of our time in the boat yard for repairs.  We can’t wait to “get back on the road again”.  Tomorrow should be a big day!  PS forgot to give the weather report for Kitty.  95 and 74%,  aren’t you glad you’re in California!!❤️
