Bad weather wins again
It was too rough again to leave. Hurricane Larry is out in the Atlantic and creating massive 38’ waves. By the time the water gets to the shore here in Atlantic City it’s calming down, it’s 4’ today but in 2 days the waves will be 8’. We decided not to go North towards Statin Island, we were concerned we might get caught up there with no weather window to get back before the weather turns into winter weather. We have to leave in the morning by 8:00, there is going to be a boat show here over the weekend so we are going back to Cape May. We’re thinking about checking out St. Michaels and a few other spots to decide where we should go when the kids get here. Grant, Ashley and Harrison are arriving on September 15th. We will pick them up in Baltimore and get to have them for an entire week. As for today, we went to the pool, David detailed the engine room a little, I tried to repair the Velcro on the canvas rail covers. I didnt have much luck. I just couldn’t get the sewing machine to work right with the canvas and the Velcro. I was rather pissy about it so we went to the pool to people watch. Again, the sights were rated “R”. Tonight we are starting to stow things for our run in the Atlantic, it will be rougher than I like but we really don’t have an option. And so it goes in Boatland.
