Sunday is for sailboat races

Today was a travel day.  We went from Annapolis to Kent Narrows, MD.  The boat cleaner guy is supposed to be here  tomorrow morning at 8am.  He's going to clean and polish the entire boat, not just the hull as I thought, woohoo! We only ran about 3.5 hours and it was a little snotty out there.  All the sailboat races are on Sunday so we had lots of things to navigate around and dodge.  It appears that during weekends all the big tankers that anchor out in the bay were joined by many more tankers than usual, there were 13 instead of the regular 8 that are anchored out here. We have a nice view off the back deck of the boat, a great cool breeze and the band playing from 3-7pm and we even knew the words to the songs, ha

Sailboats heading for the race start line.

This huge boat went past us at 18 knots, the wake he made splashed over our side rails.

View from the back deck, the restaurant, the band and the white tent is for a high school reunion.

The other half of the view.

Up close and personal of one of the tankers.  We cut between the 2 of them.

The neighbor tanker on the starboard side of us.  Those suckers are BIG!

A few of the 13 tankers lined up on the horizon.

This tanker had hold covers that were tent shaped, I guess that's the way it gets loaded/unloaded.

Another sailboat race we had to dodge.

Some of the spinnakers were so colorful and made for a great Kodak Moment.

We had to cut behind this sailboat.  Any sailboat not under power has the right of away.

                                                                Harrison as a newborn.

                                                                        Sunset tonight.
