A Windy Day

Today was supposed to be a rest day, but it really wasn't.  The wind was blowing pretty hard here at the marina but it was way to windy out on the water, 5-7' waves.  That's way above my pay grade! No amount of dramamine and stimulator watches could keep me from being seasick in that kind of water...so we stayed at the dock.  We borrowed the courtesy car, another gem that we were very very grateful to have the use of and went to CVS and Food Lion.  The highlight of the day, however,  was the little seafood shop we stopped at on the way back to the boat. We've been there before and hoped things hadn't changed much. Things were the same but with just a few less fresh fish species.  I took a few pics of the fun stuff they had. When we got back to the boat, we did a little hat shopping.  We found a store that does embroidery so we got the kids hats with Painkiller on them. We came home for the freshest and most amazing scallops and ahi tuna for dinner.  David spent a couple of hours tonight preparing our route for tomorrow, he had to deal with the tides, the bridge openings, times of sunrise and sunset and very shallow sections along the channel.. But we (meaning David) got it all figured out and we are set to go in the morning.

  Just a fun seashell craft
