Cocoa Florida
The boat is clean again. It sat in the boatyard for a couple of months and now it has been another month running. Between the grunge in the air at the boatyard and the salt water from the rough seas, it was in dire need of a bath. We started at the flybridge and worked our way to the bow, along the starboard side, then the stern, port side and the transom. Doesn't sound like much but it did take us 3 hours. Now we can walk around the boat and not get salt or seagull poo on our clothes. I took a nap, David went into town to the really old, functioning since the 1880's, hardware store. He spent a fun hour wandering around. By then I was up and about again so we decided to walk around town, maybe go out to dinner. We ended up at a BBQ place, the pulled pork and brisket were to die for as was the potato salad with dill and parmesan cheese. The ice cream store was calling to us, I had a scoop of coconut and David had the black cherry again. I saved some of mine to share with Ellie. She has learned what comes in little styrofoam cups and she slapped up what was left of my coconut ice cream. So on our day of rest, we washed the boat, walked 2-3 miles around town did 1 load of laundry. The weather has warmed up, low 80's, and we needed to turn the a/c on. This is a great little town, would come back here and stay a week.
