Duval Street

Hello everyone.  Duval Street was calling so we went downtown for the afternoon.  We walked all around, found the shell store, the sponge store, the bar where I was introduced to mojitos and the Guy Harvey store that sold the very coolest mahi mahi swim trunks for men. I saw the sandals store but we got sidetracked so we will save shopping in that store for when Leslie and Jake arrive.  After exploring for awhile, we thought a little afternoon nip might be enjoyable.  We found a bar that the band was not quite as loud as most of the bars are, no mojitos but they made some decent margaritas.  A quick stop at West Marine to look for some speakers for the flybridge proved fruitless.  The one unit their website said they had was a floor model that had been thrown away when a new model replaced it, darn, Dave wasn't very happy about that.  The shuttle was due to leave on the half hour, we had 12 minutes to get there so we did one of those Olympics fast walking things,  almost running to get there.  We came around the corner, the driver had shut the door to leave already, I waved vigorously and thank goodness he saw me, opened the door and we finished our sprint and jumped into the bus.  Back at the marina, we went back to the boat and took Ellie up for her Puppy Romp at the dog park.  I let her catch her breath back on the boat while David, Kirk and I went up to the  pool.  It must be heated to 84 degrees, we stayed in for 90 mins.  After becoming prunes, we went back to the boat and fixed raclette and a steak for dinner.  Kirk was able to join us.  We had a fun day and only 6 days till Leslie and Jake arrive, sooooo excited!!!
