Catching up

Here's the catch up for the last two weeks. Not much happens every day but after 2 weeks there are a few fun things to talk about and show pictures of.  First of all, Ellie and I flew to Phoenix to see the kids.  I got to babysit Harrison a couple of times and that was heavenly.  Kirk had a friend visit and we did some more lobstering, Key West is celebrating it's 10 minute secession from the United States and we went to see the "Drag Race" event.  I think all of this and more is best digested by looking at the photos, lots of photos! And probably some duplicate photos and videos.  The icons I pick the photos from are about 1/2" square.  It's really hard to see what is what.  Please bear with me and hope you enjoy the wide variety of subject matter.  PS. Hello to Jackie!!!

The boat got cleaned up, the master stateroom

The galley, that's all there is, small but very functional!

  Guest Stateroom

 The salon

 Salon

This is where we spend 90% of our time

Our new friends Deb and Brent taught us how to do the lobstering.  Deb also collects beautiful shells from the bottom of the ocean.  Don't worry, the occupants had long since moved out!!  This one is so huge, Deb made a lamp, cool!!!!!

  Harrison, he's grown so much!

Leslie came and babysat with me one night.  Somebody woke up and was ready to party, so we had snacks.  Mac and cheese and then for dessert, he DRANK the baby peaches. Isn't his hair sticking up cute!!

 DaDa and Harrison

Easter bunny came a week early.

The best part....the crinkle paper at the bottom of the basket

Pizza made with the Omni at Grant's house

And Key Lime Pie for dessert, yum!

  A little muggy today

Brent and Deb's boat leaving to go back to  the East Coast.  The boat is a Kadey Krogen 58, my dream boat!!

The  Drag Race.  I assume gay guys dressed up to run an obstacle course. It was pretty funny!

I saw this "critter" in the marina this morning. At first I thought it was a dying bird, no it's some kind of swimming critter

This is Alex Harvie, he went to the Green Parrot to paint a live scene of the band that was playing that night.  The man is super talented!!

At dinner, these fellows drove by

  Deb and her sushi

The Turtle Rescue people brought a little resident from their hospital

This is actually a giant photo that is hung in the hotel lobby here at the marina

  Photo of the critter

Ellie trying to figure where her space was on the airplane

This poor fish lives in very deep water and when they come to the surface their eyes bulge out due to the difference in pressure

  An egret in town

One of the many jobs David did while I was in Phoenix, cleaning the fenders (used Dawn and vinegar, worked great!)
