Grrrr, rats
Boy am I sick of the most exciting part of our day is to discover what damage the rat has done in the last 24 hours. It took us an hour to get the traps set. I forgot that David had set some sticky traps on the stairs. I went up those stairs to get some tools to work on the A/C unit that is now not working, did the rat chew through wires powering that or is it just a regular boating problem. I stepped squarely on the traps, ha, and let me tell you, it was not that easy to get off, really don’t know how the rat escaped that one time. Tonight’s rat cuisine is prime rib, tied onto the trap. Maybe the damn thing is a vegetarian or vegan and we just haven’t found the right dinner for it. I cleaned “house” today, doesn’t take very long and it really is nice to feel the clean floors. We have rented a car for a month and we are driving home to see our family and friends while they fix stuff on the boat, which now includes the a/c. Are we having fun yet?
Can you exterminate the boat while you're gone? Might be the only way the little bugger passes from this life to the next. I'm happy you're heading home for a visit. Should lift your spirits as well as the kids, and that new grandbaby needs to meet his new gramma and grampa.
