Cape May

The town was so worth spending a few fun days wandering around.  There was a walking street with a plethora of shops, restaurants and art studios.  There were babies in strollers, grandma’s with walkers and every body in between.  People were eating and drinking in the restaurant patios and ice cream cones were  abundant. Some ladies were already sunburned, some of the children were wearing strawberry ice cream on their chins and clothes. The walking mall was just good old family fun.  We walked over to the Acme Grocery store (no kidding, it really was named Acme) to pick up a few things, and then called the marina to have them send the courtesy car to pick us up.  That is such a great perk that some of these marinas offer.  Another bonus perk is the laundry room, 3 washers, 3 drivers and they all worked.  The best part…I used my visa on a pin pad, no quarters required.  Five loads were done in a couple of hours, that would have been a week’s worth of loads on the boat.  So, there is a 92’ Viking Sportfisher, you think he would have been the big fish in this little pond and he was right up

Now here’s something  you don’t see everyday, a giant fish head!

The start of the walking street.

Better pic of the big Viking.

The marina office.

Birds on the masts, it quittin’ time for them.

Ellie didn’t like the thunderstorm.  Safety is under the table, between my legs☹️

Cool, old houses in town,  even the power poles are old fashioned.

until Eileen’s Way showed up.  She’s a 2020 118’ Ocean Alexander with 3, maybe 4 crew members and they were having a big formal party.  I got caught gawking at the boat and all it’s fancy occupants and nearly ran over my neighbor on the dock, can you say embarrassed,🤪🤪
