Chesapeake City
We ended up at Party City, ha, but let me go back. Up at 5:15 am, on the road at 7:15. We were in a tight spot but as usual Capt Dave got us out nice and slow with no excitement. The seas were calm and the temperature was almost nice. Our course was much like a 5:00 quittin’ time, there were boats everywhere and of every size. It was an extremely nice ride today. We even went up top to enjoy the new cooler weather. We pulled into Chesapeake Inn and Marina and Tiki Bar. It’s been going strong since we got here early afternoon. The band has been playing constantly, the drinking heavy and the tattoos, short shorts and young women dressed for the heat (lots of skin and no bras, ha) have provided tons of free entertainment. We walked through the bar to see town, very quaint with old houses from the early 1800’s. But the best or maybe the loudest show was all the racing speed boats. OMG you need hearing protection. Those boats hurt my ears, even with my fingers in them, it was still loud. But what a show, some chick, one of the restaurant servers, actually ended up in the water. Two guys pulled her out and back onto the dock. She was laughing so all was well. Today we went 52 miles, 7 hours from Annapolis to Chesapeake City MD.
Goodbye 7 tankers in Annapolis.
I’m hot, when are we going to get there, I have to go potty, can I have a snack or a coke?
The yellow building is the oldest home here.. it’s now a restaurant.
This is a GINORMOUS tanker going down the “canal “. In, I think, 42’ of water.
