So close!!
Dependable Eric showed up early this morning. He determined a lot of the air had worked it’s way out of the hydraulic system. Pretty sure the stabilizers are fixed. The weather and ocean was a little uncooperative for sea trials this afternoon so we are going to check the sea conditions for tomorrow and hopefully it will be the perfect amount of choppy water to test those stabilizers. David met with a rigging contractor today. He wanted to make sure the mast and boom that we have to launch the dinghy is in a safe working order. The last thing we need is to have a cable snap and either drop the dinghy or a flying cable take off a limb or something else. Ellie had to wait in the pilot house while her dad went someplace without her (all the way up to the flybridge, 3 steps away) and she was not happy. But it was short lived and she survived the 10 minutes she had to wait, ha. David decided to work on the sound system and it involved taking ceiling panels and wood access panels down to try to squeeze yet one more wire/cable into those tiny spaces that are already jam packed with too much stuff. He finally got the wires threaded through with the help of a few swear words. Boy, did we enjoy our music during dinner. It sounded wonderful. We’ve been watching YouTube videos on Cape May, New Jersey. It looks like a great place to spend a few days and play tourist. Can’t wait to get back out on the water! We’re so close!
