Cambridge MD with Harrison

This morning started at 5:45 am with a good cup of coffee.  The seas were calm and the wind was light….right up until we started to leave the slip.  In order to get out of the marina, you pull our of the slip, bow first, hard right turn, another hard right turn with about only 10th of space on either side of the boat.  To make it more stressful, Old Lady Grumpy was out on her swim step giving us the evil eye. When we had pulled into the slip a few days ago, she had welcomed us with the same evil eye. The wind had kicked up and was pushing us around a little.  We had some snotty weather for a little while, but not bad and not long. Ashley did great, Grant always is fine and Mr. Harrison slept most of the way. After docking, we walked into town, a sleepy little town.  I’m afraid the Covid has not done them any favors.  While wandering around, we found a store that sold wholesale fresh lump crab, $50/#.  We decided to have chicken on the boat, ha.  Most of the day was spent making silly faces and noises for Harrison’s enjoyment (or our enjoyment).  He is starting to laugh which makes us laugh and act even more goofy, oh, the joys of having a little one around!  We went from Annapolis MD to Cambridge MD, 40 miles, 5.5 hours.

Ducks, ducks everywhere, taunting poor little Ellie.

Beautiful sunset.

Episcopal Church graveyard.

Mommy Ashley and Harrison.

Sign in town.

Front of the Episcopal Church.

This bloom was bigger than my outstretched hand, beautiful.

Harrison’s narwhal is named James Morrison.

Cute jammies.

Beautiful church.

Great architecture for the bank.

Napping with Harrison today while underway.

More of those ginormous flowers.

Local architecture.

Ellie hiding from Harrison.  She is very afraid of him.

Welcome to the Tiki Bar.

Small blue crabs that were caught by the crabbing boat.  They were $250/bushel.

Local market, we bought some of that corn.  It might be the best corn on the cob I’ve ever eaten!!!!

People in Maryland are proud of their crabs.

Is this Barney from our stay in New Orleans?

The crocus were blooming, what the heck, in September????
