Giant Tide consequences

Ashley and I recovered from the "rough seas" at the dock.  It was a King Tide, which means a normal high tide with a full moon and that makes for a lot of extra water.  There was a lot of wind on top of that so we got an enormous amount of rocking from the surge all of that created here at our slip.  Its a little ironic that the first time I have to take a dramamine is sitting at the dock, ha!  Ego Alley had flooded over the top of its sea wall and was dumping water into the drainage areas that led to the streets. We walked into town and got our flip flops wet walking down the sidewalk, drivers were going through the water at normal speeds and spraying water on any pedestrian that was not paying any attention.  The kids went off to the Piano Bar and Harrison and I took a left turn for an exciting trip to CVS.  On the way back to Painkiller we found that the water had now flooded the streets. I waited patiently for a break in the traffic so Harrison and I could cross the street.  I didn't realize how deep the water really was.  Cars were very nice and went super slow so as not to drown us.  The water kept getting deeper and deeper until the 10" wheels on the stroller were totally under water and the little storage area underneath Harrison's seat was getting completely soaked with a couple of inches of water in it.  It wasn't very far thank goodness and Mr. Harrison slept through our adventure.  The kids, unfortunately had to go back to Phoenix this morning.  I was very sad to see them go.  Wished they could have stayed an extra week.  Ellie however felt differently.  She was afraid of Harrison and wouldn't get near him and she is just now (9 hours later) starting to not be mad at me for paying so much attention to the baby and not her.  Poor Ellie but thank goodness she seems to have a short memory or it's that unconditional love thing.  ðŸ’•ðŸ’•
