Really unusual water

Super smooth sailing today.  It was a little unusual however, we couldn’t tell if the air was filled with haze, fog or perhaps some smoke from a wildfire, but whatever it was, it made for kind of a spooky feeling.  The strange light made for some photoshop looking pics, the camera captured it perfectly.  I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, so I had a couple of naps (truthfully, I think I got into gluten, and that always makes for a hard day for me and for David).  David went down to do an engine room check, while he was down there, I noticed in the pilot house where I was driving from that it was getting a little stuffy.  The a/c had shut down, grrrr.  David started his troubleshooting process, 10 minutes later he had it figured out and fixed.  It turns out we had sucked something up into the strainer that uses the cool water to run the a/c.  We ended up backing up, doing some turning and managed to knock whatever it was loose, we don’t know if it was a jellyfish or a Cheetos bag.  Ellie got her “Broth-ey is coming tomorrow” bath and even trimmed her nails. Since we are back in Annapolis, they did the Retiring of the Flag Ceremony at sunset again.  I love anything patriotic!  Today we went from Baltimore MD to Annapolis MD, 27 miles, 3.5 hours.

The water really looked like this.  It was fascinating!

The Pirate Boat cruise.

When you decide your boat is too small, most people just buy a bigger boat.  These folks decided to build an “addition” on.

The same boat just from further away.

Every boater’s nightmare, your engine dies and Tow Boat US has to come get you and tow you back to safety.

I think this is a tour boat, it just looked interesting.
Really big cargo boat that went past us.

All these dots…we call them faux-squitos.  They look like mosquitoes but they don’t bite and there are thousands of them…and they stain the boat when they die.

Video of that short lived light show on the water.

This is a private yacht, it’s so big there was no dock space big enough for them to tie up.  They are anchored in the mouth of the Severn River.

This is the helicopter on the back deck of the big boat above this pic.

Extremely calm seas today.
