Day of fun

Aaron, the diver, came this morning to clean the bottom of the boat, it took a little longer than expected. Knowing we had a 9.5 hr run, we decided to put off leaving  so as not to end up trying to dock in the dark and just stay another day in Charleston.  The next task we tackled was cleaning out the freezer that had all the rotten meat in it.  The smell was still horrendous even after putting the ozone machine in there for several hours.  We pulled out all the wire baskets and shelves, I scrubbed those clean and whiffed up the air along the dock, even the guys working the dock said they had noticed a little odor, yikes! Now that it is clean,  it does smell much better.  We showered to get the stench off and then Ubered into the Slave Market to do some shopping.  We found some fun things for an early Christmas shopping trip.  Fleet Landing Restaurant was our choice for dinner, David had his usual fried fish and shrimp.  He even enjoyed the grits and butter beans. I had blackened Tile fish, we’d go back again.  There was a beautiful park, we found a bench and had a piece of lemon meringue pie that David had found at the Slave Market.  It was amazing, who doesn’t like lemon dessert! Next we walked out onto the pier where we found an empty porch type swing, kicked our legs in and out and enjoyed being in the moment.  The aircraft carrier Yorktown was across the water, those things are huge! A big cargo ship went under the bridge, which was a beautiful masterpiece of engineering ,what a sight!  Then back to the boat, Ellie was glad to see us as usual.  Time to start stowing everything for our offshore run in the morning, it’s supposed to be smooth seas🤞🤞
